Who you are

Required:

  • Someone excited about creating positive environmental impact through technology and motivated by solving real-world problems that matter
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments, working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Adaptable individual who embraces the dynamic nature of a startup, adjusting to evolving objectives and enjoying direct interaction with our customers
  • Engineer with a STEM degree and 3+ years of experience in an operational environment
  • Professional with a Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline)
  • Data-driven professional skilled in collecting, analyzing, and reporting complex datasets
  • Someone comfortable with technical systems who enjoys both the analytical and hands-on aspects of engineering
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • Experience working with fibre optics or distributed sensing technologies
  • Experience working in utilities or infrastructure monitoring
  • Experience using GIS/mapping tools for field data collection
  • Understanding of basic ML concepts
  • Previous customer-facing technical role experience
  • Experience collecting and analysing field data to improve technical systems

What the job involves

  • As one of our first technical hires, you will be integral to our field operations and deployment processes
  • Successful candidates will need to collaborate closely with our customers to deeply understand the effectiveness of our leak detection system and continuously improve our product with this information
  • You'll need to provide thought leadership throughout all phases of the field verification lifecycle, from initial calibration to data collection and insight development
  • We work with complex fibre optic sensing technology and successful candidates will need to continuously innovate and problem solve to extract maximum value from our deployments
  • You'll serve as the primary interface between our technology and real-world implementation, traveling to customer sites 1-2 days per week
  • Your work will directly impact how water utilities detect and prevent pipeline leaks, creating tangible environmental and societal benefits
  • Successful candidates will directly impact the future of the company and share in its success
